CITIES CALL FOR SOLUTIONS:   6/22
Smart international convention destination
Fukuoka Japan
SUMMARY
Fukuoka would like to provide both international conference visitors and organizers a tool to effectively access and manage relevant information.

Fukuoka, in the southwest corner of Japan, is the country’s second largest convention city after Tokyo. It is highly liveable city with a compact centre and an efficient urban transport system. The intercontinental airport and international seaport ensure easy accessibility from Asia and beyond.

In order to enhance its capacity and attractiveness to host international conventions and exhibits, Fukuoka would like to offer event visitors and organizers a smart tool to efficiently access and manage relevant information on an event and the city.

From arrival to departure at the airport, seaport or the terminal train station, visitors with mobile phones or tablets should be able to register for sessions, confirm timetables and venues, listen to translation, reserve restaurants and entertainment, search transportation, and archive digital proceedings or brochures. Organizers can efficiently manage the event by monitoring participants, venues, schedules, equipment and budget.

Fukuoka welcomes solutions that offer some or all of the above components to help the city grow into a global reference as a destination for international conventions.
